MANA Canada announces the registration of Rush 24™ broadleaf herbicide (fluroxypyr+2,4-D ester) for use in wheat and barley. Rush 24 is a co-pack of fluroxypyr and 2,4-D ester, the same active ingredients and rates as OcTTain™ XL herbicide.
"Rush 24 is another great example of how we at MANA Canada are working hard on new product offerings that bring choice to the Canadian marketplace,” says Andrew Mann, General Manager with MANA Canada. “Rush offers that choice and delivers the performance that growers demand.”
Rush 24 controls a wide spectrum of broadleaf weeds in spring wheat, durum wheat and barley. With two Group 4 active ingredients, Rush 24 controls tough broadleaf weeds such as cleavers, kochia and wild buckwheat, including Group 2 resistant biotypes.
"In the southern Prairies, Rush 24 is a great fit for controlling flixweed and Group 2 resistant kochia, while on the northern Prairies, it works well on cleavers, wild buckwheat and volunteer flax,” says Kent Burnett, Area Business Manager — Southern Saskatchewan with MANA Canada. “The combination of proven active ingredients makes Rush 24 a valuable tool for controlling Group 9 resistant kochia.”
For better control of larger broadleaf weeds, Rush 24 can be tank-mixed with an additional two active ounces per acre of 2,4-D Ester LV 700. Rush 24 is also tank-mixable with several grassy weed herbicides for broad-spectrum, one-pass weed control in wheat and barley.
