AgVenture has announced that fifty-one newly released seed products will complement their broad 2013 product portfolio. AgVenture Director of Product and Technology Marketing Scott Hart noted, “This is a significant and robust set of top-performing genetics and technologies. Improved profitability starts with access to products. We’re pleased to provide our customers with these additions to our exceptional corn and sorghum hybrid and soybean variety product lineup.”
Twenty-seven new corn hybrids will go to work in fields across the country during planting season 2013. The expanded lineup includes a wide range of hybrid maturities, and features workhorses, cutting-edge genetics and technologies, and optimized performance among disease, insect and heat/drought pressures.
Dr. Keith Campbell, AgVenture Corn Product Manager said, “Our new corn hybrids for 2013 have garnered a great deal of positive traction with our customers. We are very pleased to introduce them. With maturities ranging from 76-117 RM, these hybrids represent superior genetics and agronomic traits that enhance their ability to perform within differing environments. These new products add genetic diversity that helps combat pressures of diseases and insects. The Agrisure Artesian™ technology and AQUAmax™ designated hybrids provide customers with new and exciting resources for drought and heat-stressed environments.”
Twenty-two new soybean products will go into production this spring to expand and enhance the 2013-2014 product offerings for the AgVenture family of Regional Seed Companies. These products range in maturities from Early Group 0 to Group 7 and include both Roundup Ready™ and LibertyLink™ releases.
AgVenture Soybean Product Manager, Jeff Shaner said, “Farm customers demand top-flight genetics as their baseline expectation. Without them, a seed company doesn’t have a voice to even get a conversation started. We view genetic advancement in our soybean line-up as a springboard for the Maximum Profit System™ dialogue that endures year-round between AgVenture Yield Specialists and the customers that partner with them.”
Shaner continued, “Each product release exhibits value that can be utilized by a locally based and independently owned AgVenture Regional Seed Company to meet the needs of their geography. Breeders harness the power of Accelerated Yield Technology™ to pinpoint specific defensive traits and push inherent yield potential. This pest spectrum attacking soybean fields (including insects, diseases and weeds) is explosive, and so yield and defense needs to progress hand in hand if we are to see triple-digit soybean production become the norm.”
AgVenture Sorghum Product Manager, Louis Sutton announced the launch of a new sorghum product line. “Our customers across the Plains and Western Cornbelt, the Mid-South and Eastern Cornbelt asked for tough, top-performing grain sorghum hybrids and we responded. AgVenture has released two grain sorghums that cover the major sorghum markets. Both hybrids are red sorghum with very good plant health and a wide area of adaptation with very solid drought yields” Sutton noted that AgVenture is also testing six experimental sorghum hybrids designed to fit the east/west split in the grain sorghum market.
