India approved 12 pesticide registrations

The Indian Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) has approved the registration of 12 pesticide technicals at the meeting of the Registration Committee, including 5 insecticides, 6 herbicides and 1 fungicides. For registration type, five products are the 9 (3) registration, four of them only for export purpose. Seven product registrations belong to the 9 (4)-"Me-Too” registration.

Note: 9(3) registrations: This guideline is for registering a new pesticide (technical grade or formulation) or registering a new import source of technical grade pesticide or first time indigenous manufacture of technical grade pesticide or formulation. This is a permanent registration and does not require any renewal.
9(4) registrations: This is Me-too registration for indigenous manufacture of technical grade pesticide and formulations and import of pesticides from already registered source.
