Bayer CropScience received full registration of insecticide active ingredient flubendiamide in China while the provisional registration expired in September last year. There are another three companies including Nihon Nohyaku hold the registrations of flubendiamide at present.
Flubendiamide is a novel chemistry with new mode of action targeting site- Ca+ release channels. It can stop feeding of larvae immediately while safe with crop and environment.
Bayer had gotten approval of Flubendiamide 480SC in India for controlling all lepidopteran pests on cotton and rice in 2007.
