US to approve Valent's fungicide fenpyrazamine

The US EPA has proposed to approve Valent USA Corporation’s new fungicide, fenpyrazamine, for use on almonds, small fruit vine climbing subgroup13-07F, head and leaf lettuce, and low growing berry subgroup 13-07G, bushberry subgroup13-07B, caneberry subgroup13-07A, ginseng, pistachio and ornamentals. The public comment will be open until Feb 12, 2013.
The European Commission has approved the fungicide fenpyrazamine from Sumitomo Chemical .The effective date is on January 1st, 2013. Sumitomo Chemical got global first registration for fenpyrazamine in Korea.
The mode of action of fenpyrazamine is unclear but thought to inhibit germ tube and mycelium elongation.
