A farm fertilizer agreement to be signed is being touted as a collaboration between the province and the fertilizer industry that will improve agricultural sustainability.
The government of Manitoba and Keystone Agricultural Producers will sign an official memorandum of understanding with the Canadian Fertilizer Institute at a morning announcement at Ag Days, in Brandon's Keystone Centre.
The agreement is said to link the province's objectives for environmental action and agricultural sustainability with improved fertilizer use. It formalizes the existing collaboration and shared objectives of the province, farmers and the fertilizer industry and begins several new initiatives.
