DuPont received full registration of methoxyacrylate fungicide picoxystrobin in China early this month. The registration will expire on November 5, 2017. In July, DuPont had got temporary registration of the active ingredient in China, according to China Pesticide Registration Watch (November Issue) published by Agropages.
Picoxystrobin was first launched by Syngenta in Europe in 2001. DuPont acquired it in the year of 2006 and then registered it in the market of Latin America and North America successfully. Now it has been registered in over 20 countries such as Brazil, Argentina, and South Africa.
Canada is in the process of registration of picoxystrobin (Acapela) recently to control or suppress a broad spectrum of diseases on cereals, corn, dry legumes and soybeans. The U.S. EPA has recommended to approve it last month to be sold as Aproach.
Picoxystrobin is a fungicide controls or suppresses a broad spectrum of diseases in numerous crops. It has moderate uptake into host leaves through the xylem and exhibits translaminar movement.
