The European Commission has agreed to extend provisional approvals for two new active ingredients. These two ais are BASF's fungicide ametoctradin and Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha's fungicide disodium phosphonate. The Netherlands and France have received application for approval of ametoctradin and disodium phosphonate in 2008, respectively. And they have got provisional approvals for three years. Now the Commission allowed two more years' approval for the companies to complete the registration process.
