Pesticide income of Shenghua Biok up 15% in H1 2012

From January to June 2012, Chinese company Zhejiang Shenghua Biok Biology Co., Ltd (Shenghua Biok) achieved an operating income of Yuan 821 million, 15.16% down year on year, accounting for 45.61% of the yearly plan; its total operating cost amounted to Yuan 804 million, accounting for 45.68% of the plan; total operating profit amounted to Yuan 32.94 million, 63.36% down.

In the first half year of 2012, pesticide market demand recovered to some extent and prices of some of the company’s pesticides also recovered, resulting in a 14.87% operating profit margin for pesticide operating profit, being 10.15% up; pesticide operating income increased by 14.87%, reaching Yuan 282 million.

In the second half year, Shenghua Biok Biology has focused on the business plan set out in the early of the year, which aims to seize the business opportunities to grow pesticide formulation marketing. According to a preliminary estimation, net profit attributable to mother company shareholders January to September 2012 will decrease by 50% compared with the same period of last year; net profit attributable to mother company shareholders January to September 2011 was Yuan 95.97 million.
