The herbicide kills a wide spectrum of weed with a long-lasting effect, being safe and environment friendly. It is invented by Sagami Chemical Research Center and developed by Kaken Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, having been registered in Japan in 1997 in the commodity name of Wechser used for rice and later extended to mixture with sulfonylurea herbicides.
