German chemicals company BASF SE (BAS.XE) Friday said it is increasing European prices for ethanolamines with immediate effect.
BASF raised the price for monoethanolamine by 90 euros ($112.5) a metric ton, for diethanolamine by EUR100, and for triethanolamine by EUR120.
The price increase is applicable to current supply agreements, to the extent permitted by contract terms and conditions.
BASF produces ethanolamines at its Verbund sites in Ludwigshafen, Germany; Antwerp, Belgium; and Nanjing, China.
Ethanolamines are used in the manufacture of agrochemicals, wood protectants, cleaning products, process chemicals, lubricants and cement additives as well as active pharmaceutical ingredients.
