BASF’s new fungicide fluxapyroxad has received EU approval, according to an official notice. Fluxapyroxad will be included in Annex I as approved active ingredient for ten years begins on January 1st, 2013.
Member States are required to pay particular attention to the risk to groundwater, if the active substance is applied under vulnerable soil and/or climatic conditions. Conditions of use shall include risk mitigation measures, where appropriate. They are also required informing the Commission on the specification of the technical material as commercially manufactured give purity date was based on a pilot plant production.
Fluxapyroxad got approval for used on cereals in UK last year. And Australia also gave green light for fluxapyroxad in 2012.
