FMC Corporation announces the addition of Lamar Buckelew, Ph.D., to the North American Crop Business and Product Development Team. In his role as product development manager, Buckelew will focus on the development of FMC insecticide projects.
"Lamar's extensive background in crop and product development will be a great addition to our team as we continue to acquire, cultivate and expand our portfolio of crop protection products," said Neil DeStefano, FMC director of business and product development. "Lamar will be a key player on our team as we continue to achieve our goals for Vision 2015."
Prior to working for FMC, Buckelew worked for Bayer CropScience for 13 years serving in various roles, including his most recent role as a global stewardship manager in BCS BioScience. Buckelew also has served on various industry committees including: BIO Stewardship Task Force, Excellence Through Stewardship Program Development and Operations Committee, liaison to the United States Department of Agriculture on technical and policy issues and liaison to the United States Environmental Protection Agency on federal regulatory and policy issues.
Buckelew obtained his Ph.D. in entomology from Iowa State University, his master's degree in entomology and a bachelor's degree in Integrated Pest Management from Auburn University. Buckelew joined the FMC team on April 2.
