The European Commission has allowed EU member states to extend provisional authorisations granted for six new active ingredients for a period ending on 31 May 2014 at the latest. These active ingredients are: Nissan Chemical’s fungicide amisulbrom, DuPont’s insecticide chlorantraniliprole, Dow Agrosciences’ fungicide meptyldinocap, Syngenta’s herbicide pinoxaden, Enhold BV’s plant growth regulator silver thiosulphate and Bayer CropScience’s herbicide tembotrione. The examination of these active ingredients’ dossiers is still ongoing and it will not be possible to complete the evaluation within the time-frame, member states may therefore extend provisional authorisations for plant protection products containing the above active ingredients.
