FMC Corporation announces the following changes in their development organization. Houston Joost, Ph.D., will relocate to California as product development manager in the Western U.S. and Sam Wilson, Ph.D., has been promoted to senior product development manager, herbicide lead.
Prior to working for FMC in Philadelphia headquarters as product development manager, Joost worked on key FMC products including insecticides, fungicides and herbicides that will be used in the West. In his new assignment, Joost will be developing several new product launches for the Western region including ZeusTM herbicide, and the recently acquired by FMC tree fruit, nut and vegetable fungicide Problad PlusTM as well as several other new and exciting products FMC has in its development pipeline.
FMC has several herbicide development projects in the FMC pipeline that Wilson will help oversee. As project leader, he is involved in the development of two new FMC pyroxasulfone-based herbicides, AnthemTM and AnthemTM ATZ, both of which are anticipating EPA approval later this year. In his new position, Wilson will work with other product development managers to oversee all herbicide development projects to ensure sound product conception, protocol design, scientific integrity, product budgeting, data summarization, formulation development, label writing and project tracking to ensure the products' success.
"Both Joost and Wilson's solid track records will serve FMC well as we work to achieve our company objectives," said Neil DeStefano, FMC director of business and product development. "Joost brings a highly-curious mind, broad technical skill set and successful project management experience. Additionally, Wilson's project leadership, superb execution and product development experience are a critical asset to FMC."
