The cooperated project between Chinese agrochemical company Jiangsu Changqing Agrochemical and Swiss-based agrochemical company Syngenta, for diafenthiuron recently was put into production in Jiangsu Changqing. With 7million Yuan investment, the 1200 tonnes/year capacity project is estimated to increase the annual sales of Jiangsu Changqing by 200 million Yuan ($ 33 million). This is the fifth cooperated project between the two parties.
Diafenthiuron, a novel thiourea insecticide/acaricide which inhibit ATP synthesis, can effectively against phytophagous mites (tetranychidae, tarsonemidae), aleyrodidae, aphididae and jassidae on cotton, field, fruit crops, ornamentals and vegetables. It can also control some leaf-feeding pests on soybean, cotton and cole crops, such as plutella xylostella, anticarsia gemmatalis and alabama argillacea.
