On April 11th Isagro received permanent registration (Section 3) from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) for the sale in the USA of Domark®230 (Tetraconazole) - a fungicide developed by the Company's innovative research - for use on soybean.

Tetraconazole fungicide currently is marketed to soybean growers (as Domark®) by Valent USA through a distribution relationship with Isagro USA and to sugarbeet growers (as Eminent®) by Sipcam Agro USA.

This registration comes in addition to the Section 3 granted by E.P.A. last 22nd February for Strada™ 50 WG (Orthosulfamuron), the Company's new proprietary herbicide, for use on rice.

E.P.A. authorisation of Tetraconazole follows the three year Section 18 registration issued by EPA in March 2005 for the sale of the fungicide exclusively for defense against the Asian Rust soybean disease. This new registration authorises the Company to market and promote sales of Tetraconazole for expanded uses on soybean.

"The granting of these two registrations from an internationally recognized institute such as E.P.A. – declared Giorgio Basile, President and Managing Director of the Isagro Group – confirms the quality of the work done by our Research and Development department and the Company's growing effort towards adding value to its proprietary active ingredients”.

Tetraconazole and Orthosulfamuron are managed in the United States by Isagro USA, the company responsible for registering, marketing and distributing the Group's products.

"In a little over 12 months – stated the President of Isagro USA, Dennis Krass – Isagro USA has been successful in obtaining 4 new registrations on 3 different active ingredients: Tetraconazole, Orthosulfamuron and Copper. These new authorisations will allow us to fully capitalize on the potential of our proprietary molecules in the US market. In particular, we will finally be able to offer American growers the advantages of Tetraconazole, a proven performer in the Brazilian soybean market over the past four years, against a full range of fungal soybean diseases”.

These registrations confirm the objectives of Isagro Business Plan presented last December, which anticipate a growing contribution of the proprietary products over the next five years.
