AgroPages-Safapac moves to segregate production-Agricultural news

chemical formulation and packaging company Safapac (Orton Southgate, Cambridgeshire) will move to a new site near Peterborough. The relocation signals a move to meet "stringent" manufacturing, packaging and environmental standards for agrochemicals and other chemicals, the company says. The new factory, which cost over £2 million ($4.1 million), is geared to segregate activities. This layout will allow the company to handle a wide variety of chemicals with no risk of cross-contamination, Safapac notes. The site also includes "specialist sachet filling booths" to meet increasing demand for sachets, it adds.
