With the goal of offering a complete portfolio of agrochemicals for Brazilian farmers, CropChem has just obtained registration for Lacano 200 SL, a non-selective contact herbicide formulated with the active ingredient Diquat. The product acts as a photosynthesis inhibitor in Photosystem I and belongs to the Bipyridyl chemical group.
The primary application of Lacano 200 SL is desiccation during pre-planting and pre-harvest stages. When used in pre-planting, the herbicide helps correct previously performed desiccation, standardizing the area and preventing weed competition at the beginning of the crop cycle. This also contributes to reducing the emergence of mature weeds during the growing season.
In the pre-harvest phase, the product promotes field uniformity, accelerates harvest, and reduces weed presence, facilitating the planting of the next crop. Additionally, Lacano 200 SL has proven effective in desiccating large weeds, inducing regrowth and making their control more efficient.
The herbicide is registered for use in crops such as soybeans, beans, coffee, and citrus during pre-planting, and for soybeans, beans, and potatoes during pre-harvest.
The introduction of Lacano 200 SL to CropChem’s portfolio represents a strategic advancement, especially after the ban on Paraquat. With this new solution, CropChem reinforces its commitment to providing efficient alternatives for the chemical management of weeds, pests, and diseases in agriculture.
Currently, the company’s portfolio includes 34 herbicides, 20 insecticides, and 15 fungicides, totaling 69 products that meet the demands of Brazilian farmers.
