On March 21, 2025, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement, making a final affirmative anti-dumping ruling on Pretilachlor in any of its forms and its intermediate—2,6-Diethyl-n-(2-propoxy ethyl) Aniline (also known as PEDA)—originating from or imported from China. It recommended imposing anti-dumping duties on the products involved from China for a period of five years, with duties ranging from USD1,246.9 to 2,017.9 per ton. For details of the duties, please refer to the appendix. The products involved fall under Indian Customs tariff headings 38089199, 38089390, 38089910, 38089990, 29214290, 29221990, and 29222990.
On March 29, 2024, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India announced that, in response to an application submitted by the Indian domestic company India Pesticides Limited, it initiated an anti-dumping investigation into Pretilachlor originating from or imported from China. The dumping investigation period for the case was from October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023 (12 months), and the injury investigation period covered April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021; April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022; April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023; and October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023.
