Biobest appoints Arjan Heemskerk as General Manager The Netherlands

Biobest, a division of BioFirst Group specializing in biological crop protection and pollination solutions for greenhouse and horticultural growers, announced the appointment of Arjan Heemskerk as the new General Manager for its Dutch operations, effective March 10, 2025. Arjan succeeds Bart Sosef, who led Biobest Netherlands for a decade and has recently been promoted to President Plant Products, another division within the global BioFirst Group.

Stemming from a flower wholesaling family, Arjan Heemskerk brings a wealth of experience to Biobest Netherlands. He previously served as Commercial Unit Lead EMEA Glass at Bayer Vegetable Seeds, where he focused on sustainable internal and external growth. With a passion for commercial and operational improvements, his strategic vision and dedication to sustainable horticulture make him a valuable addition to the Biobest team.
