Strategic partnership announced between Fuhua Chemical & DBN Biotech at Shanghai CAC Exhibition

On March 17, 2025, at booth 62H01, CAC2025, the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), Fuhua Chemical and DBN Biotech held an inauguration ceremony to announce the formation of strategic partnership between the two sides. Under the partnership farmwork, the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of biotech, so as to jointly contribute to the agricultural science and technology-based innovation and the sustainable development of agriculture. 

At the inauguration ceremony, Guo Wei, deputy secretary-general of China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA), pointed out that seed-pesticide combination has become an important trending and stressed the strategic value of the biotech technology in modern agriculture. He says that many enterprises in Beijing have been actively participating in the biotech programs led by DBN Biotech, and the market value of this industry sector is expected to reach tens of billions of RMB yuan. The deputy secretary-general Guo Wei encouraged industry practitioners to seize the opportunity and actively join the practices in this emerging business field, saying that the agricultural administration departments have made forward-looking planning and layout to support the development of biotech technologies.

Li Ruiqi, co-general manager of Fuhua Chemical, said that the national food security strategy places biotech in an important position, which is a major trend. He called on pesticide industry practitioners to work closely to play a part in this new race, as China is gradually expanding the planting area in this field and will introduce new process of product registration, which is a new industry sector different from that of conventional corn and soybean crops.

Ding Derong, vice president of DBN Biotech, emphasized that ensuring national food security is the common responsibility and mission of Chinese enterprises. He pointed out that both state-owned and private-run enterprises ought to actively undertake this historical mission and jointly promote the high-quality development of the Chinese grain industry. The inauguration ceremony is a positive signal to all industry players at home and abroad that Chinese enterprises are ready to assume responsibility for the global agriculture. 

Sun Jin’an, innovation director of DBN Biotech, holds the view that through the cooperation, the two sides will be able to consolidate resources to give full play to the respective advantages of each other, saying that the two sides are prepared to jointly to develop the biotech market, and believing that with the joint efforts of both sides, the cooperation will surely lead to fruitful results.

The partnership between Fuhua Chemical and DBN Biotech is a milestone cross-sector collaboration in the development of agricultural science and technology. With the deep integration of glyphosate technology with biotech technology, which forms a ″pivot,″ the cooperation between the two sides will make a change to the future pattern of sustainable development of global agriculture.
