Multinational Mosaic has just launched a new biological solution for bio-nutrition in the Brazilian market, designed for foliar application.
MBio Stimulus, formulated with nutrients and containing amino acids, now joins the four other products in Mosaic Biosciences Brasil's portfolio, which the company launched in March this year.
Recommended for soybean and corn crops, MBio Stimulus offers "prolonged action and essential nutrients for plant development. The amino acids in its composition bring additional benefits such as reducing environmental stress and increasing the attachment of reproductive structures, which will protect the plant's productive potential," the manufacturer said.
"We have brought this product to market specifically for farmers seeking to protect their productive potential with a formulation that optimizes maximum physiological activity in the field. MBio Stimulus delivers prolonged action in the plant, generating higher productivity and, consequently, a greater return on investment for the farmer. It is convenience and security for the producer," explained Alexandre Alves, Director of Mosaic Biosciences Brasil.
The executive highlighted Mosaic Biosciences' portfolio, which supports plants' natural biology. The products' formulations contain microorganisms and natural compounds.
"For water stress management, the company offers MBio Hidro, which protects crops against water scarcity and excessive heat, promoting more tolerant plants. Aimed at improving nutrient use efficiency, MBio Brad, MBio Azo, and MBio Phos products work to increase nitrogen and phosphorus availability for plants, maximizing growth and promoting a more resilient production system," Mosaic pointed out.
The bio-inputs market has proven highly promising in Brazil. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, an Embrapa publication shows that approximately 40 million hectares are cultivated with plant growth-promoting bacteria, plus 10 million hectares using other bio-inputs for pest control. A study released last year by CropLife in partnership with S&P Global projects that this segment should move around R$17 billion by 2030, with a growth rate of 23% between 2022 and 2023.
Mosaic is already a leader in the Brazilian fertilizer market and now aims to become a major protagonist in the bio-nutrition market. By combining all the potentials already worked with soil, plants, and microbiomes, Mosaic will bring a sustainable approach to the sector. By 2030, the company estimates reaching revenues of US$100 million.
To achieve this, they said they would work with major channels, cooperatives, and grain traders, who are strategic partners providing Mosaic with extensive market coverage.
"Today, Brazil has the world's largest fauna and has the potential to be the first country to export this type of product globally, given that 50% of Brazilian agricultural producers already use biologicals in crop cultivation," the multinational said in conclusion.
