Groundwork BioAg, the largest global producer of mycorrhizal inoculants, announces Canadian regulatory approval for Rootella L, its cost-effective, highly concentrated liquid formulation designed to boost crop yield and soil health. This milestone follows the company's strategic expansion into the Canadian market earlier this year.

Rootella L’s approval gives Canadian farmers more options to access innovative biological solutions that increase yield across key crops, including corn, wheat, legumes and cereals.

"We are thrilled to offer Rootella L to Canadian farmers," said Dana Schofield, Canadian Strategic Accounts Lead at Groundwork BioAg. "This approval allows us to expand application options of proven biologicals that fit within our customers’ existing growing practices.″

Rootella L offers numerous benefits to farmers, including:

  • Improved soil health and crop yields

  • Enhanced nutrient uptake and water efficiency

  • Increased resilience to environmental stresses

  • Contribution to carbon sequestration efforts

This approval builds upon Groundwork BioAg's existing presence in the country, which began with product registrations in 2019. This latest development is expected to significantly boost the adoption of mycorrhizal inoculants across Canada's vast farmlands, supporting the nation's drive towards more sustainable and productive agriculture.

"Canadian farmers are facing unprecedented challenges due to global market fluctuations, increasingly unpredictable weather patterns and razor thin margins on the farm," Schofield added. "By making all other ag inputs more efficient, growers can literally bank on Rootella L’s ROI.″

Rootella mycorrhizal inoculants are currently sold across 3.7 million acres annually in 23 markets, including the U.S., Brazil, India, and China. This extensive reach underscores the growing recognition of Rootella's effectiveness in enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability.
