The Lithuanian biological inputs company Bioenergy presented its line of special biostimulants during the Agromek 2024 fair, covered by AgroPages.
The highlight was the Azofix Plus products, a microbiological biostimulant for plants, for efficient atmospheric nitrogen fixation and ensuring the nutritional needs of plants.
The composition of this bioinput contains the bacterium Paenibacillus polymyxa MVY-024 (1.2×1012 CFU/l); B group vitamins: B1, B3, B6 and microelements: Cu, Co, Fe, Mn, Mo, Zn (max 0.02%); K-7140 mg/l; Na-1880 mg/l; Ca-1500 mg/l; S-1170 mg/l; P-278 mg/l; Mg-275 mg/l.
Bioenergy also presented Azofix Rhizo, a microbiological biostimulant for plants. It is known to form symbiotic associations with plants, assuring efficient atmospheric nitrogen fixation and, accordingly, ensuring the nutritional needs of plants. The product is composed of the bacterium Rhizobium leguminosarum MVY-018.
Azofix Alfalfa, a microbiological biostimulant for Lucerne, complements the biostimulant line. It is designed to enhance symbiotic associations, form the highest possible amounts of symbiotic bacteria in the roots of leguminous plants (Lucerne), and ensure the nutritional needs of plants. The product is composed of the bacterium Ensifer meliloti MVY-026.
"Due to the search for ways to protect and save the soil, achieve high crop productivity, yield quality, and more efficient operation of other plant care products, more and more attention is being paid to biological products," the Lithuanian company said.
They added that "microorganisms participate in all important metabolic processes of nutrients and microelements available to plants and are one of the most important factors determining soil stability, metabolism, and fertility" in the products manufactured by Bioenergy LT.
Founded in 2013, Bioenergy LT aims to be the "largest innovative biotechnology company in Northern Europe in terms of production capacity. With the help of advanced production technologies, it develops and manufactures microbiological products for the optimization of plant nutrition and restoration of natural soil fertility. The microorganisms in the products occur naturally in nature and are not genetically modified".
The Lithuanian biological inputs company currently has a production capacity of 29,000 tons. Bioenergy's planning includes inaugurating a new research and development (R&D) center with its own laboratory by 2025.
The main objective, however, is to register a new bioinsecticide and a new biofungicide in the European Union in the coming years. To do this, it also plans to increase its production capacity to 53,000 tons by opening a new factory.
