Changes to Board announced
EBIC held its extraordinary end-of-the-year General Assembly on 4 December 2024 via Zoom, where online remote voting results were announced, including changes to the Board.
Several positions were open for the EBIC Board. The field was particularly competitive this year, with six excellent candidates for only three open Director-at-Large seats.
The following Board members have been re-elected in the same position for a second term of another two years:
Arne Pingel, Rovensa Next, President
Carlos Rodríguez-Villa Förster, AlgaEnergy, Vice-President
The following Board members have been elected into new positions:
David Hiltz, Acadian Plant Health, Treasurer (1st term) (previous DAL 2021-2024)
Massimo Toni, Agronutrition, Director-at-Large (2nd term) ( (DAL 2018-2020 and Treasurer 2020-2024)
The following individuals have been elected:
Antonis Angeletakis, Yara International, Director-at-Large (1st term)
Marco Rosso, Syngenta Biologicals, Director-at-Large (1st term)
While Board member, Alice Toderi, Hello Nature, is still in her 1st term as Director-at-Large (Nov. 2023-Nov. 2025)
EBIC extends its thanks to the three other DAL candidates, Thomas Leppin, Jerôme Grislain and Mark Palmer for their willingness to volunteer their talents, time, and energy to the association, with a special thank you to Thomas who has served two years as DAL in the Board.
50 members cast their vote (74% of EBIC’s membership) via e-ballot from 18 November to 2 December 2024.
All other voting resolutions were approved with the statutory double majority. These were:

Re-elected President Arne Pingel expressed his gratitude to members for the vote of confidence. He noted that EBIC should proceed with its Mid-Term Strategy and added, ″There are still a lot of battles to win in order to achieve where we want to be″.
EBIC’s vision remains sustainable agriculture supported by the global adoption of plant biostimulants. EBIC’s mission is to promote plant biostimulants as essential to advanced food systems, providing education, advocacy, and support to members, policymakers, and farmers.
