Dutch-born Ward Clevers (38) will take over the management of Syngenta Switzerland on February 1, 2025. The EPFL graduate succeeds Stefan Odermatt, who is retiring after eleven years at Syngenta.

Ward Clevers has held various positions at Syngenta in Switzerland and the Netherlands for more than ten years. He worked in crop protection, seeds, and seed treatment and most recently headed marketing for crop protection in Switzerland.

Stefan Odermatt holds a doctorate in agronomic engineering from ETH Zurich and started working at Syngenta in January 2014 as Sales Manager for Crop Protection and Seeds Switzerland. After a year, he took over the management of the Switzerland business unit. Stefan Odermatt represented the company in various specialist committees in Switzerland, including the industry association ScienceIndustries. He was a long-standing board member of Swiss-Seed and a member of the Board of Directors of Syngenta Agro AG.
