CAC International’s created cyproflanilide technical granted production permit

A few days ago, the approval of production of cyproflanilide was announced on the official website of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Jiangsu Province, approving the application for production of cyproflanilide technical as filed by CAC International.

Cyproflanilide is a diamide insecticide-based m-diamide insecticide created by CAC International, which is free of cross-resistance with the conventional diamide insecticides, being an excellent diamide resistance management tool, featuring with high efficiency, low toxicity, broad insecticidal spectrum, good permeability, fast acting and long-lasting effect. The product is effective in control of lepidopteran pests such as Spodoptera exigua, diamondback moth, prodenia litura and Chilo suppressalis, also Coleopteran pests such as longhorn beetle and leaf beetle, as well as thrips.

In terms of marketing, cyproflanilide is promoted by reference to the same m-diamide-structured broflanilide. Cyproflanilide was already authorized a patent in China in 2019, which is currently being filed for patent authorization in the United States, Japan, Brazil and Germany, with a promising market prospect.

Previously, CAC International was granted the registration of cyproflanilide 98% TC, as issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on July 11, 2024, under the registration certificate number of EX20240200 which defines the toxicity as slightly toxic, being registered only for export to Cambodia.
