Pangaea Biosciences announced that they have signed a new and exclusive distribution agreement with ODOX EU, JSC. for all Pangaea products including Booster™, throughout the Baltics and Scandinavia. Pangaea has already been test marketing in the Baltics but feel Odox are the key partners to go ahead with. The distribution agreement includes these. countries – Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

These countries grow a large area of oilseed rape. According to FAOstat in 2022 it adds up to over 3 million hectares of oilseed rape grown. As with other European countries this crop suffers from several insect pests, such as pollen beetle, with high levels of insecticide resistance in the field. Booster™ is a novel optimized and patented primer, developed by Pangaea Biosciences, to restore efficacy to insecticides suffering from significant pest resistance. It works by blocking Cytochrome 450 which is responsible for pesticide breakdown, and it is simply added into the mix with the insecticide to improve pest control.

Odox is a UK-based company specializing in wholesale distribution of products across Europe. Pangaea has collaborated with them in the past. In addition to crop protection products, Odox also distributes automotive parts and accessories to dealerships, repair shops and individuals and biomass such as wood pellets and chips for renewable energy and biofuels. The company aims to offer exceptional customer service and support. Its logistics department provides transportation and storage solutions for all products, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.

The director of Odox, Ilja Krasilnikov says ″We see this as a perfect opportunity to apply and evaluate the full breadth of our knowledge and experience. I can confidently say that over the course of twenty years, we have built a highly capable and professional team, ready to tackle any task that comes our way. We have a culturally diverse and knowledgeable management team with a wealth of experience in the European crop protection industry, with the advantage of speaking more than fifteen languages.″

The Odox team encompasses a diverse blend of entrepreneurial account managers, vast experience in global supply chain management and expansive regulatory know-how of the European regulatory schemes. Currently Booster™ is registered in Poland, the Baltics, Romania, Czechia, Denmark, and the UK.

Roger Pinder, Global Business Development Consultant for Pangaea Biosciences, says ″Odox has built strong and growing customer relationships throughout Europe which is essential to the sale and distribution of our unique products. We have found that they are very entrepreneurial and can identify the right resellers in each market who can sell onto farm. They will be focusing on those who have the technical nous to use our products effectively. We are delighted to be working closely with them in a stronger contractual capacity.″

″We recognise that resistance is a major issue in agriculture and a significant threat to global food security,″ says Roger. ″Rape in the Baltics is treated with pyrethroids to which pollen beetle is now resistant. The ability to bring back a range of chemistries which have all but reached their market maximum through resistance problems should have enormous appeal to farmers across Europe and indeed all over the world. Moving into the Baltic and Scandinavian markets with this new Odox distribution agreement is fantastic.  We are hoping for great things from them. We are seeking out similar distribution contracts in other countries worldwide.″

Pangaea Biosciences already has a range of distributors. But if anyone would be interested in expanding the list for other parts of the EU or globally, please ring Nick Gooch on Mobile: + 44 (0) 7900 891692.

Nick Gooch, CEO at Pangaea Biosciences, will speak at the upcoming 5th Ag Formulation & Application Technology Congress (FAT 2024), which will be held on November 26 and 27, 2024, in Hangzhou, China. Learn more details here: https://events.agropages.com/EventsShow-3314-7cc6e3b4.html
