image.pngThere's an exciting wave of innovation in agriculture as bio-controls emerge as the next-generation mode of action, offering precise performance and an improved sustainability profile with minimal non-target impact. As the agriculture industry increasingly prioritizes effective, sustainable, and cost-effective crop protection practices, Vive Crop Protection is at the forefront of this movement. Vive is bridging the gap between synthetic solutions and the bio-revolution with combination products designed to harness the unique benefits of each active ingredient, ensuring reliable performance and fostering trust in the market.

A plant extract + synthetic fungicide, AZterknot® is the first of its kind, combining the proven disease control of azoxystrobin with the plant defense and fungicidal benefits of Reynoutria sachalinensis extract (RSE). This bio-enabled fungicide showcases how Vive’s hybrid approach to Precision Chemistry™ crop protection can enhance crop quality and increase yields, while also supporting sustainable agriculture.

In trials conducted across the United States, AZterknot has been shown to improve standability, maximize vigor, and maintain greener plants. The combination of trusted disease control with the increase in plant performance has been shown to have a significant impact on crop quality and yield. This highly effective combination is enabled by Vive’s patented Precision Chemistry nanotechnology, which also allows AZterknot to be tank-mix compatible, provide even leaf coverage, and absorb quicker into the leaf surface.

″The AZterknot went out nice and even,″ said Mississippi corn grower Benjamin Good. ″The plant stayed greener longer, stayed healthier longer. The stalk was strong and so the standability was good.″

While AZterknot is currently leading Vive’s bio-enabled portfolio, the R&D pipeline is filled with more exciting developments, including 12 new bio-control products with the first expected to launch by 2026. These products will address a broader range of biological crop protection challenges including shelf-life stability, efficacy variability, and ease of application.

But Vive is not doing it alone. Vive partners with leading biological companies to advance its nanotechnology with the next generation of biological actives being explored. These partnerships allow Vive to stay on the cutting edge of the industry to deliver the future solutions farmers need, today.

"At Vive, we're committed to addressing the real-world challenges that have hindered the widespread adoption of bio-control solutions,″ says Jordan Dinglasan, Vive Co-founder and VP of Research and IP. ″By integrating our nanotechnology with both synthetic and biological actives, we’re creating a future where bio-control isn’t just a concept, but a reliable, scalable tool for farmers. AZterknot is just the beginning—our R&D pipeline is poised to deliver innovative solutions that enhance crop protection, performance, and sustainability."
