Quantis is now recognized by the EU Fertilizing Products Regulation (FPR) as a biostimulant for improving tolerance to abiotic stress (heat). Quantis enhances the resilience of crops and improves the yield and quality of various field crops such as potatoes, onions, and sugar beets.

The claim of reducing abiotic stress is based on an extensive dossier of test results from Benelux and the UK. This recognition means that we can also substantiate the claim we attribute to Quantis.

Due to prevailing climate change, crops are increasingly dealing with stress factors, the so-called abiotic factors. Drought and heat negatively affect plant growth. Every day to grow is important; Quantis ensures that plants are less quickly affected by these stress factors. It ensures that the plant can continue to invest in photosynthesis, even under stress.

Syngenta has conducted extensive research into how, for example, heat or drought stress in potatoes inhibits crop growth and what a difference this can make. Quantis has been tested under various conditions in practice for several years to arrive at a solid and well-substantiated advice.

In potatoes, the application of Quantis from the time of tuber initiation leads to significant benefits. It results in a greater number of tubers, more uniform tuber size, and heavier tubers. These improvements collectively contribute to a substantial increase in yield of an average of 8%.
