The global biosolutions market remains highly fragmented, and currently, there is no dominant player, according to Florencio Romaguera Mínguez, Iberian Director of Rovensa Next.

Rovensa intended to become a world leader in the biological inputs market by leveraging its ability to innovate and act swiftly. "We want to position ourselves quickly in the biosolutions market as an undisputed leader," Mínguez asserted.
Over the past five years, Rovensa’s investors have acquired companies globally to complement its portfolio, capabilities, and technologies. "By merging these eleven companies under the robust Rovensa Next brand, we aim to provide access to our biosolutions portfolio across the 85 countries where we are present," he pointed out.
Additionally, the company intended to "form alliances and create environments where other biosolutions companies could join and continue growing, making us the leaders in this market," the executive added. Mínguez revealed that the group aimed to add more companies to its portfolio to drive inorganic growth.
The director highlighted that Rovensa is currently focused on two major areas in terms of research and development (R&D). "Globally, we have 92 people working on R&D, focusing on discovering new solutions, exploring new active ingredients, and improving products and adjuvants that enhance product effectiveness in the field," he explained.
He emphasized that the company sought global solutions that solve local problems faced by farmers daily. According to Mínguez, it is crucial to introduce new biosolutions into the field immediately, even if the need is not urgent today.
"We must implement them immediately because we need to prepare farmers, transfer knowledge, and be able to advise them. This is no longer just a trend but a necessity for farmers," he added.
"The world is advancing and changing rapidly, and we need to adapt to that speed. The flow of information is also incredibly fast, so what we are looking for is to transfer business models that are profitable, sustainable for everyone, and quickly implemented," he said in conclusion.
