Nichino Europe, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nihon Nohyaku Co Ltd. of Japan, has built an enviable reputation in the global crop protection sector with its high quality products which span acaricide, fungicide, herbicide and insecticide compounds. Thanks to significant and ongoing investment in R&D over many years, Nichino Europe has a very healthy new product pipeline that is driving further growth, and the acquisition of Interagro UK Ltd. in 2023 provides an excellent platform from which the company can expand its business, both in the UK and internationally.  


To support the ambitious growth objectives, these two new positions in Nichino Europe’s UK structure have been created to make a major contribution to growing the UK business, and to introduce the company as an important player in the UK crop protection, adjuvant and bio-stimulants markets. Reporting to the Head of the UK Business, the purpose of both roles is to manage and coordinate commercial and technical relationships with the key UK customers by building long-term partnerships that deliver excellent service levels.


These two roles present an exciting and challenging opportunity for experienced Commercial/ Technical professionals in the crop protection sector to make their mark in a fast-growing business with innovative products and real growth perspective.


The essential characteristics sought are:


  • Wide commercial and technical knowledge of the UK crop protection market and a high degree of business acumen

  • A proven track record of developing excellent contacts and business relationships with the leading UK agri-business distribution partners

  • First class communication and presentation skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers 

  • Very customer service focussed

  • Well organised, time efficient and deadline conscious

  • Highly motivated, self-starting, ambitious

  • Able to operate with relative independence, but always with a team/company-oriented approach
