Biotrop, a leader in biological solutions for agriculture, has invested around R$100 million in two new microorganism multiplication centers in Curitiba (PR), where it already has a unit, and in Jaguariúna (SP).
In Paraná, it produces gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and has a capacity of 36 million liters/year.
In São Paulo, fungi are produced in solid media. The plant has a fermentation capacity of 24 tons per week and between 2,000 and 4,000 tons per year.
″In terms of production, Biotrop triples its capacity, which contributes to the company's continued growth, strengthening our position in the market and enabling revenue gains,″ said Operations and Supply Chain Director Eduardo Pesarini in a statement.
The new microorganism multiplication center in Curitiba is fully automated. In addition to fermentation, it has research, innovation, and quality control laboratories.
″In total, there is an area of 25,000 m². In addition to being one of the most modern bacteria production centers in the country, the unit is also environmentally responsible, with solar panels to supply around 50% of the energy used, in addition to a rainwater collection system for reuse,″ Pesarini highlighted.
According to the company, the new fungus production center, in Jaguariúna (SP), also incorporates this modernization, contributing to strengthening Biotrop's participation in a market that grows more than 30% per year.
The two units represent another leap in Biotrop's technology and production capacity.
The company's first microorganism multiplication center, also in Curitiba, received recent investments for potential expansion to 12 million liters/year.
In its manufacturing units, Biotrop develops and produces exclusively biological and natural technologies, having acquired a broad portfolio in the categories of biocontrol, biofertilizers, biostimulants, and inoculants.
