Nufarm appoints Peter Margin as non-executive director

Nufarm Limited announced the appointment of Peter Margin as a non-executive director of the company.

Mr Margin's appointment coincides with advice provided to the Board by non-executive director, Dr John Stocker, that he will retire from the Board at the company's Annual General Meeting on December 1.

Mr Margin was chief executive of leading Australasian food manufacturer Goodman Fielder between 2005 and April 2011. Before this, he was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of National Foods Ltd. He currently serves as a non-executive director of Bega Cheese Ltd.

Nufarm Chairman Donald McGauchie said Mr Margin’s extensive experience in major Australian and international food companies and knowledge of the manufacturing industry will enable him to make a valuable contribution to the board.

"Peter's expertise in the Australian and global food and agribusiness sector is very relevant to broader industry context in which Nufarm operates,” Mr McGauchie said. “I am delighted that Peter has agreed to join Nufarm’s Board."

Mr McGauchie also acknowledged Dr Stocker's contribution to the company, thanking him on behalf of Nufarm shareholders for his 13 years of service as a non-executive director.
