Bauminas_Agro_Final.pngUbyAgro Group, a Brazilian multinational with brands such as Ubyfol and Vitales, announced the acquisition of Bauminas Agro, a company active in the plant and animal nutrition sectors, producing raw materials.

UbyAgro said the acquisition aims to increase revenue by expanding and diversifying its portfolio. Additionally, the Brazilian group intends to "strengthen its position in the plant nutrition and biological defense segments."

The acquisition includes the segment of sulfate micronutrients, such as zinc and manganese, which are widely used in Brazilian agriculture.

"The inclusion of Bauminas Agro into the Group will support the construction of a portfolio that caters to a new profile, targeting both large accounts—such as soybean, corn, and sugarcane—and the B2B market, serving the plant and animal nutrition industry, as well as the needs of input distribution for private label products, enabling new access to foliar and soil lines," the company stated.

In this market, UbyAgro Group also aims to operate in the trading of micronutrient raw materials in Brazil.

Fabrício Simões.jpegFabrício Simões, President of UbyAgro Group, said this strategy marked another step in structuring a robust platform for agro specialties, focusing on both the premium segment with Ubyfol and Vitales brands—particularly in the agricultural retail, distribution, and cooperative markets—and the lower value-added segments, serving markets with higher cost pressures through Bauminas Agro.

"With the Ubyfol and Vitales portfolios, our intention in the coming years is to further invest in Research & Development and maintain a lasting relationship with distributors and customers, ensuring value delivery with differentiated service supported by the specialist teams of both companies," Simões stated.

"Following the acquisition of Bauminas Agro, our Group, which has been growing at an accelerated pace, intends to expand even further in the coming years, both organically and inorganically. By the end of this process, we will have three major multichannel and multi-portfolio companies serving the entire customer segmentation process," Fabrício added.

With a consolidated revenue expectation of BRL1 billion this year, UbyAgro Group anticipates annual growth above 20% in the 2024-2028 cycle. The operation is contingent upon, among other things, submission and approval by the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE).

Founded in 2021, UbyAgro Group consists of Ubyfol, a plant nutrition company with 38 years in the market, Vitales, a biological defense company for agriculture, and Moon Hub, the first national tripartite innovation hub focused on agribusiness. Developed to structure the growth of all companies under its umbrella, the holding company expects revenue to exceed BRL1 billion by 2024.
