Sumitomo Chemical has exclusively announced to AgroPages the launch of the herbicide Wrangler, formulated with the active ingredients Picloram + 2,4-D.
The new product is designed to control weeds that cause significant losses in grazing areas, such as Guanxuma (Sida rhombifolia), Assa-peixe (Vernonia polyanthes), and Jurubeba (Solanum paniculatum), which are common in Brazil's major biomes.
According to the manufacturer, the key differentiator of Wrangler is its SG (solid and granular) formulation, which ″offers significant benefits to ranchers.″
″In addition to controlling weeds, it is also a tool that will provide advantages in operational management by reducing packaging waste and allowing for more concentrated doses,″ Sumitomo Chemical said.
The manufacturer aims to provide Brazilian ranchers with a ″positive experience in soil use excellence, generating economic efficiency and balance between the environment and the production system.″
In line with this, Sumitomo Chemical introduces its Concept E, which aligns with the commitment to simplify the storage and transportation of products. The SG formulation of Wrangler also contributes to ″minimizing waste and environmental impact, promoting more responsible and efficient agricultural practices,″ the company added.
″Wrangler is an important solution for controlling weeds in Brazilian pastures,″ said Alexandre Manzini, Marketing Leader at Sumitomo Chemical for Pastures.
According to Manzini, its formulation offered ″effectiveness, economic and environmental benefits, and the practicality that pastures deserve.″
″We offer ranchers a complete experience throughout their journey, with technical, operational, technological, and financial solutions that contribute to their grazing strategy,″ he emphasized.
″All these features demonstrate Sumitomo Chemical's commitment and seriousness in developing more sustainable livestock practices,″ Manzini said in conclusion.
