Xu Lei, Deputy Director of Yinke Global One-hour Legal Service Ecosystem Changzhou Foreign-related Center, discussed the legal risks pesticide companies face in international business operations and proposed counter-measures. The presentation went through in detail the legal issues which may occur to pesticide products at various stages from production to sales, including the risks involving intellectual property at the time of procurement of technical material, intermediates and active ingredients, the compliance of production, intellectual property of formulations and infringement of trademark. The presentation also alerts companies to properly establish evidence and disclose information in case of phytotoxicity to avoid legal liability. Moreover, Xu Lei provides a unique insight into handling international contract disputes, for which friendly negotiation may come first.
