The Brazilian market is a hot market full of opportunities and challenges. Edward Qin, China business manager of Staphyt, discussed the technical aspects of pesticide formulations entering the Brazilian market. The presentation details the technical challenges faced by pesticide formulations accessing the Brazilian market, including the pesticide registration process, timeliness consideration, compliance requirements and data preparation. Qin says that enterprises must have a clear business plan and timeline when setting out the market entry strategy and must make full use of Brazil’s registration resources, such as innovative approaches like trademark licensing or rapid cloning of registration, which will accelerate the market entry process. In addition, he probed into the tactics of how technical material manufacturers can use subtle registration strategies and label cloning techniques to achieve optimized resource allocation and market development. Furthermore, he suggests that Brazil’s biopesticide registration entry level is relatively low, which provides a new opportunity worth seizing by Chinese companies.
