Bionema launches biodegradable surfactant exclusive for sports and turf

Bionema Group, the recipient of the Kings Award for Innovation and a leading developer of biocontrol technology for plant health solutions, introduces Soil-Jet^® BSP100, a groundbreaking biodegradable surfactant designed for the sports and turf industry.

Soil-Jet^® BSP100 enhances water and nutrient use efficiency, reduces soil water repellence, accelerates water penetration, and maintains moisture levels, improving turf health and quality. 

This product is applied with conventional spraying equipment and is compatible with nutrients and beneficial microorganisms, enhancing their effectiveness. Available in various packaging sizes, it supports sustainable soil management and improves yield quality.

Field trials on golf courses, racecourses, football pitches, cricket pitches, and landscapes in the UK, Ireland, Canada, India, and LATAM countries have shown a 20-30% increase in nutrient uptake when nitrogen-fixing products like BioNFix^® are applied. Surfactants are applied on golf, racecourses, and football pitches to improve efficiency in water and nutrient use. They reduce soil water repellence, enhance water penetration and distribution, maintain constant moisture levels, and increase nutrient availability. This results in healthier, more robust turf, better playing conditions, and reduced maintenance costs by optimising the use of water and fertilisers.
