Cyproflanilide - Homemade novel bisamide insecticide, to be registered in China for the first time

ICAMA announced the 7th batch of pesticide products to be granted registration in 2024 on June 27, of which Cyproflanilide 98% TC of Nantong CAC International expects to be granted registration for the first time in China for export only to Cambodia.

Cyproflanilide is a meta-diamide insecticide created by Nantong CAC International based on bismide insecticides, which is of high efficiency, low toxicity, broad insecticidal spectrum, good permeability, fast onset and long-lasting effect. 

The product can effectively control lepidopteran pests such as Spodoptera exigua, diamondback moth, Spodoptera litura and Chilo suppressalis, Coleopteran pests such as longhorn beetle and leaf beetle, as well as thrips. 

For market promotion, the product is compared to the meta-diamide-structured Broflanilide, which is already in the market. Cyproflanilide was granted a patent in China in 2019, and is now being filed for patent in the United States, Japan, Brazil and Germany, with a promising market prospect.
