MIBELYA

The first significant launch highlighted by BASF was the Mibelya fungicide (Fluxapyroxad + Mefentrifluconazole), formulated with the active ingredient Revysol.

Classified by the manufacturer as ″innovative,″ this technology offered ″resistance and flexibility in product use, providing greater selectivity and high efficacy in disease management.″

BASF said, the new Mibelya fungicide was developed for tomato, apple, and potato crops.

The manufacturer claimed the product is innovative for ″combining active ingredients with distinct mechanisms of action to combat diseases such as black spot, anthracnose, powdery mildew, among others.″

″It has excellent control efficacy over a broad spectrum of pathogens, offering protective and curative action at different stages of the fungal life cycle,″ BASF noted.

VINQUO

In addition to fungicides, the company also introduced its latest solution based on the molecule Inscalis for controlling sucking insects. The Vinquo insecticide (Afidopyropen) offered a ″differentiated and innovative″ mode of action, BASF stated.

This product, targeted for tomato and potato cultivation, inhibits the feeding process of insects, being highly effective against pests of the Hemiptera order, such as whiteflies.

The specific mode of action of the insecticide makes cross-resistance with other conventional insecticides difficult. This tool prevents resistant insects and contributes to integrated pest management.

″Among the results generated are innovations in chemical molecules for the protection of important crops worldwide,″ said Katty Corrente, Marketing Leader for Horticultural, Sugarcane, and Coffee Production Systems at BASF.

According to her, the horticultural market is one of the company’s global priorities, with Brazil being a significant market for the brand.
