Environmental completion of annual 1,000-ton 2,4-D-sodium project of Rainbow’s subsidiary accepted

A few days ago, the environmental completion acceptance of the 1,000-ton 2,4-D-sodium project of Ningxia Gerui Fine Chemical Co., Ltd was publicized on relevant websites. 

The project was subjected to environmental assessment, examination and approval, having fulfilled the environmental requirement and building the environmental facilities in accordance with the environmental impact assessment and the approval document. 

It was suggested that the environmental completion acceptance of the project be approved, as it was compliant with the requirements and conditions of completion acceptance. 

The completion acceptance pertained to the Annual 1,000-ton Propanil Project of Ningxia Gerui Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. Its Phase I covers annual 1,000-ton propanil, 5,000-ton ametryn, 500-ton prometryn, 500-ton terbutryn, 15,000-ton 2,4-D, 1,000-ton 2,4-D sodium and 1,000-ton captan. 

Propanil, ametryn, prometryn, terbutryn, captan and 2,4-D have been environmentally accepted. So, this acceptance was processed only for the 2,4-D sodium production line and its supporting facilities, covering the whole scope of the 2,4-D sodium production system project, with an annual output of 1,000 tons.

Ningxia Gerui Fine Chemical Co., Ltd is located in Ningxia Pingluo Industrial Park (formerly Shizuishan Ecological Economic Development Zone). The company was founded in 2006 and was equity-acquired in May 2015, becoming Rainbow’s equity-controlled company. 

The company has been a designated pesticide manufacturer as approved by the formerly Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, engaged in producing pesticides, pesticide intermediates, fine chemicals and formulation products.
