AgroBrasília 2024 – Biosphera introduces 'ideal mix of microorganism consortium' concept

Biosphera, a newcomer to the Brazilian bio-input market, brought its concept and challenge of reaching the "ideal combination of a consortium of microorganisms" adapted to each soil and region to AgroBrasília 2024.

"Observing the nature and behavior of the beings inhabiting it can certainly bring many answers to research. It was exactly in this way that, through many studies, the professionals of Biosphera Agro Solutions, a company dedicated to presenting high-technology biological solutions aimed at increasing productivity and promoting plant health, made important discoveries, such as the consortium of microorganisms," the company explained to AgroPages.

Biosphera's specialists explained that they observed that certain microorganisms positively impacted field results, with returns in productivity and better plant development. "And this already happened with the addition of just one microorganism. However, surprisingly, introducing a second microorganism further potentiated these gains," the manufacturer pointed out.

According to Cesar Kersting, agronomist and commercial director of the company, the first challenge arising from this survey was developing a stable formula that would allow the coexistence of the two live microorganisms in a single product. He emphasized that it was also observed that the inclusion of a third or fourth microorganism did not always result in additional gains. On the contrary, in certain circumstances, this excess could even compromise productivity, highlighting the importance of balanced and judicious work in the composition of biosolutions.

"In this way, as a second challenge, Biosphera has been tirelessly dedicated to finding the ideal combination of microorganisms that, adapted to the specific edaphoclimatic conditions of each environment, can offer effective answers and truly beneficial and sustainable solutions for Brazilian agriculture," the professional highlighted.

Biosphera, which has been on the market for just over four years, was born from a union of professionals with more than two decades of experience who bring a differentiated management proposal. The objective is to "stand out for presenting high-technology biological solutions to increase productivity and promote plant health."

According to Kersting, since its foundation, the company has focused its efforts on strengthening its presence in Brazil, with a focus on the Midwest. It operates strongly in the grain sector and is recognized for its dedication to the production of biological inputs. Even in a more challenging market moment, the company affirms that it maintains a "medium to long-term commitment, investing in research and development to offer innovative solutions and anticipate demands".

"We have more than 40 registrations with the Ministry of Agriculture, and we offer a wide range of technologies. Our products, based on nitrogen-fixing and growth-promoting microorganisms, are fundamental for building a more sustainable and productive agriculture," the executive added. "Given the territorial extension of Brazil and the sectorization of industries in different regions of the country, it is essential to be present on these occasions. They represent a valuable opportunity to interact with producers, technicians, students, and professionals from different areas, constituting a kind of advanced meeting point for the industry with local producers," the agronomist stressed.
