Futureco Bioscience establishes a subsidiary in Brazil, strengthening its expansion in Latin America

• Futureco Bioscience strengthens its presence in Latin America with the opening of a subsidiary in Brazil, expanding its network which already includes four subsidiaries in Peru, Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica. The new branch will be located in the state of Sao Paulo, with Eric Massarico as Director of Development.

• Futureco Bioscience made its entrance into the Brazilian market in 2008, distributing its biological products through importers in the country. From soybeans to horticultural crops, the favorable reception of their innovative biological solutions, tailored to the market's specific needs, along with their market potential, are some of the primary reasons behind the establishment of the subsidiary.

Futureco Bioscience a Spanish company specializing in biotechnological products for sustainable agriculture, has opened a new subsidiary in Brazil as part of its Latin American expansion strategy. The subsidiary, located in the state of Sao Paulo, will have Eric Massarico as its Director of Development. Massarico brings extensive professional experience in areas such as agronomic technical support, soil management, plant nutrition, and integrated pest and disease management.  This achievement marks a significant milestone in the company's regional expansion, which includes existing branches in Peru, Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica.

In the past five years, since establishing subsidiaries in Peru and Colombia, Futureco Bioscience has upheld a strong internationalization business policy in Latin America. Last year, the company expanded its commercial operations to Mexico. This year, it extended its reach to Costa Rica in February and most recently to Brazil. In addition, Futureco Bioscience also operates in Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic.

Leveraging its extensive experience in global agricultural markets and the positive response to its biological solutions in Latin America, the company is now broadening its reach in the Brazilian market with a new subsidiary. This comes after commercial operations in the country since 2008. In Brazil, the demand for organic products has noticeably increased, growing by 51% during the 2022-23 harvest season compared to the previous cycle, resulting in a turnover of 827 million dollars. In light of this promising scenario, the company aims to replicate its previous achievements and continue its growth. "Brazil stands out as one of the main markets worldwide for biological products, known for its remarkable competitiveness and ongoing demand," says María José Lis, Director of Business Development and Marketing at Futureco Bioscience.

Futureco Bioscience will initially expand its presence in the central-southern region of the country. With this same objective in mind, Lis and Massarico will attend HORTITEC, the event that brings together producers, professionals, and technicians from the agricultural sector in Brazil and abroad.
