Show Safra 2024 - ORÍGEO presents technologies for soybeans from Ellas Genética

The soybean cultivars with Ellas Genética technology were the major highlight by ORÍGEO at Show Safra.

ORÍGEO, is a joint venture between giant trading company Bunge and the multinational crop protection company UPL. Recently, the brand announced a partnership to exclusively commercialize the Ellas Genética portfolio starting with the 2025 crop season.

The initiative also includes a partnership with Seedcorp HO to complete a focused portfolio of high-performance cultivars for the Brazilian Cerrado region.

"With the combined forces with Seedcorp HO, we offer our customers high-performance seeds developed by Ellas Genética," said ORÍGEO CEO, Roberto Marcon.

Established in 2021, Ellas Genética offers a line of soybean cultivars with IPRO technology, which provides resistance to the herbicide glyphosate, and caterpillars. The portfolio includes Luiza IPRO, Manu IPRO, Elisa IPRO, Paula IPRO, Lynda IPRO, Suzy IPRO, and DANI i2x. 

Their characteristics include earliness, excellent initial growth, high yield potential, resistance to cyst nematodes, and excellent leaf health, with positioning tailored to various situations in the Cerrado.

One-Stop Shop

During Show Safra, ORÍGEO reinforced its 'One-Stop Shop' concept, offering a complete portfolio for soybean, corn, cotton, and sorghum crops. It also presented its exclusive service model, 'Before, inside, and after the farm gate', which connects farmers with the entire agribusiness chain.

"Show Safra is one of the most important events in Mato Grosso. We took this opportunity to strengthen ties with ORÍGEO's farmer customers at the event, to offer our complete solutions," said Iran Santana, CCO of ORÍGEO.

"In addition to this, we will emphasize alternative crops in our booth at the Lucas do Rio Verde event, showcasing the strength of the products we offer for various needs and realities of Brazilian agriculture. Therefore, we eagerly await producers at our space, called 'House of Solutions' - a concept created by our shareholder UPL - which will also feature participation from our partner Bioplanta Nutrição Vegetal," the CCO said in conclusion.
