Indigo Ag marked its participation in the 2024 edition of Show Safra by presenting the biotrinsic line of biological technologies.

According to the manufacturer, these are bioinputs of "high performance for crops such as soybeans and corn, adding greater safety, sustainability, and profitability to crop planning."

The product is the only one formulated based on Bacillus simplex in Brazil, and it uses "growth-promoting microorganisms for more sustainable production, along with various benefits in one product," the company said.

Additionally, Indigo introduced its latest release, biotrinsic bionematicide, for sustainable nematode control. Formulated With Pseudomonas oryzihabitans, the novelty offers "premium performance, controlling all stages of nematode growth and leaving plants and soil healthier."

The main targets are cysts (Heterodra glycines), galls (Meloidogyne incognita), and lesions (Pratylenchus brachyurus). "Since it is a multi-crop bionematicide, it can be applied to soybeans, corn, cotton, wheat, rice, beans, peanuts, and sorghum crops," the company explained.

Considered one of the most innovative biological manufacturers in the world, the American startup Indigo stands out, among other factors, for being one of the few in the world developing technologies from endophytic microorganisms, bioinformatics, and data science. For this purpose, it has built the largest bank of endophytic microorganisms for commercial use globally.

More than 37,000 strains and 350 different genera of bacteria and fungi have been collected from different plants and geographical regions worldwide, and the number is constantly expanding. All materials are digitally cataloged, and over 70% of them already have genomic sequencing analysis and high-quality definitions for each type of stress.

Reinando Bonnecarrere.jpg"Based on this unique collection in the world, screening, and detailing the characteristics and potential of each species, the combination of data generated by machine learning, combined with biotechnology tools, results in the development of compositions that stand out for their effectiveness, resistance, and compatibility with various pesticides, fertilizers, and planting methods," explains Reinaldo Bonnecarrere, Indigo's Latam biological director.

Another highlight of Indigo at Show Safra 2024 was its credit line, a tool that simplifies access to crop financing. It allows farmers to finance biologicals, seeds and fertilizers, with scheduled payments for the crop term.

"Indigo is the only biological company in the market that provides access to credit for purchasing seeds and fertilizers, all in a single transaction. By directing a significant portion of our efforts to our credit line, we demonstrate our relevance in supporting rural planning within the farm gates. We also strengthen our position as a trusted partner, committed to the success of all links in the agricultural production chain," endorsed Cristiano Pinchetti, CEO Latam of Indigo.

Show Safra is an event held annually by the Rio Verde Foundation in the municipality of Lucas do Rio Verde, in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso – one of the largest agricultural producers in Brazil. The event attracts a large crowd and focuses on technical and commercial innovations in agribusiness.

For the 2024 edition, the chosen theme was "Connecting Worlds," to interconnect all sectors involved in agribusiness and provide visitors access to innovations, whether technological, startups, machinery, inputs, livestock, or logistics.
