With a 1,200 m2 booth, BASF presented three releases in crop protection, seed treatment, and inputs at this year's edition of the Expoagro fair – which received special coverage from AgroPages in Argentina.
The first release was the herbicide Voraxor (Saflufenacil + Trifludimoxazin), recommended for pre-seeding. According to the manufacturer, the novelty has "high efficiency in desiccating broadleaf weeds that provides great speed and decisiveness of control, as well as proven persistence."
BASF pointed out that Voraxor is a versatile product that is applicable to soybeans, corn, wheat, barley, and peanuts.
The second release was the fungicide Melyra (Mefentrifluconazole + Pyraclostrobin), formulated in Suspension Concentrate (SC). According to the company, the product "stands out for providing greater productivity and control of diseases sensitive to other triazoles."
"Its use translates into more kilograms per hectare and has wide selectivity; that is, it is useful for soybean cultivation and will soon be useful for corn, wheat, barley, cotton, lemon, orange, tangerine, and grapevine. Both releases include innovative molecules, something the market has been expecting," BASF said.
In seed treatment, the multinational presented HiCoat Dry, a premium inoculant in solid format, with a long life, and high concentration for soybean cultivation.
In the seed business, new corn, sunflower, and soybean products were presented at the booth. BASF 7339 VIPTERA 3 is showcased in corn, a hybrid with high performance in late planting and versatility in all environments. Also, the sunflower hybrids InSun, offer higher productivity per hectare and a complete sanitary profile.
And finally, in soybeans, the brand Credenz has more than 15 varieties for various regions. "Expoagro represents a key moment for the entire BASF team, where we value the opportunity to start the year by meeting with producers, business partners, and the agricultural community in general," said Gustavo Portis, Director of Solutions for Agriculture in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia.
He says, the goal is to "listen and discuss the main issues involving the sector and present our releases."
