At the event, the company’s Brevant Sementes brand presented its soybean cultivars with the Conkesta E3 biotechnology, which controls the main caterpillars that attack oilseed.

In addition, the seeds are flexible in terms of weed management with the application of the herbicide, Enlist Colex-D.

For corn, Brevant Sementes is launching the hybrid, B2315PWU, which grows hyper-early with a wide planting window, is fast flowering, offers the possibility of a second harvest, has a high grain weight, and is tolerant to water stress.

At the fair, the brand also presented the super early hybrid, B2401PWU, which is ″an excellent option for grains with excellent bromatological results, proving to be one of the best options for silage on the market, in addition to its wide planting window,″ Corteva said.

Another highlight is the launch of the hybrid, B2741PWU, which offers ″high production stability, good performance under water stress, and good tolerance to stunting.″

Another Corteva brand, Pioneer, the leader in corn and sorghum seeds, introduced the soybean, 95R70CE, a cultivar featuring the Conkesta E3 biotechnology for southern Brazil.

Another highlight was the corn, P3016VYHR, which is ″effective in managing bacterial streak,″ according to the company.

The third seed brand is Cordius, which launched the C2550E variety featuring the Enlist E3 biotechnology for weed management, which allows the application of Enlist’s herbicides Colex-D (new 2,4-D choline salt), glyphosate, and glufosinate ammonium during pre and post-emergence.

In addition to the launch, the brand also offers the cultivars, C2534E and C2531E, which feature a super early cycle and the Enlist E3 biotechnology.

Cordius offers the Enlist biotechnology that made the most progress in developing cultivars in 2023, which will be produced for the 2023/24 harvest and will be available to farmers for the 2024/25 oilseed harvest.

Virtual reality and drift simulator

The area provided an immersive virtual reality experience, with farmers using 3D glasses.

With this technology, the company took visitors on a virtual ″visit″ to crops areas to understand ″Integrated Disease Management″ (MID) through the application of fungicides, the use of these products on plants, and ″Integrated Pest Management″ (IPM), whole addressing the role of Bt proteins in pests.

Corteva na Expodireto Cotrijal (2).jpegAnother innovation presented by BPA was the ″Responsible Application Program″ (PAR), which covered suitable climatic conditions for the application of agricultural pesticides, such as temperature, wind speed and relative air humidity, as well as safety in handling and use, types and indications of spray tips application and class of drops according to the product, whether herbicides, insecticides, or fungicides.

The company also presented a drift simulator to the public to show them how good agricultural practices, new technologies, correct spray tips, and appropriate application formats contribute to reducing drift.
