Cocamar Agroindustrial Cooperative inaugurated a fertilizer plant in the city of Paranavaí, in the northwest region of the Brazilian state of Paraná.
The facility will house the production of the Viridian brand, a product line that includes foliar fertilizers and adjuvants.
Cocamar revealed to AgroPages that for the second half of 2024, it would invest BRL10.7 million to start the production of biological fertilizers.
The new unit occupies an area of 64,000 square meters, with almost 10,000 square meters of built-up area.
This new structure underwent expansions also to begin production of solid fertilizers.
As reported by industrial supervisor Paulo Liberato, the commercial shift capacity of three million liters and 630 tons of solids per year. As a result, the industry received investments for adjustments and acquisitions of new equipment amounting to R$6.3 million.
During the launch event and reporting to the cooperative members, Cocamar announced that BRL10.7 million will be allocated to renovate and adapt facilities and purchase equipment.
The Viridian line includes adjuvants that "improve the quality of applications and increase the performance of inputs," according to the manufacturer.
According to them, liquid foliar fertilizers "enhance plant performance through nutritional balance."
Cocamar stated that the Viridian line is compatible with the application of other inputs, such as fungicides, as confirmed by tests already conducted. (US$1 = BRL5)
